General
MPRD will commence work when written confirmation is provided
by mail, email or fax.
Website Design
The web server, website, graphics and any programming code remain the property
of MPRD until all outstanding accounts are paid in full. Any scripts, CGI applications or software (unless specifically agreed) written
by MPRD remain the copyright of MPRD and may only be commercially reproduced or
resold with the permission of MPRD.
MPRD cannot take responsibility for any copyright infringements caused by
materials submitted by the client. MPRD reserves the right to refuse any material
of a copyrighted nature unless adequate proof is given of permission to use it.
Any additions to the brief will be carried out at the discretion of MPRD and if no charge is made
in that respect, MPRD accepts no
responsibility for them and reserves the right to
charge an appropriate amount for any corrections or adjustments.
The client agrees to make available as soon as is reasonably possible to MPRD
all materials required to complete the website to the agreed standard and within
the agreed timescale.
MPRD shall not be liable for any costs incurred as a result of any downtime of the website, its
servers or software.
Database, Application and E-Commerce
Development
Where applications or websites are developed on servers not provided by MPRD,
the client is expected to provide all information, additional software,
support or co-operation pertaining to the server upon which the website is to be
installed in order for the
application to be correctly developed. Where large applications are to be
developed, it is the client's responsibility to provide a suitable testing
environment which is identical to the final production environment.
The client is expected to test fully any application or programme relating to a
website developed by MPRD before being made generally available for use.
Compatibility
MPRD shall subject to Browser restrictions and developments ensure that any website or
application will function properly on the server upon which it is installed and that it will function
properly when viewed with the web browsing software
Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6 and to an acceptable level with Netscape
Navigator Version 7. MPRD can offer no guarantees of correct function with
browser software.
Website Hosting
MPRD reserves the right to refuse to handle any material which it considers to
be offensive, illegal, sexual or in bad taste and shall terminate the
hosting service in such circumstances.
Payment of Accounts
A deposit of 50% is required before any work is carried out. On smaller
websites costing less than £250, the full amount is required in advance. In all cases,
website hosting fees and any costs incurred by MPRD on behalf of the client are
payable in advance and are non-refundable. It is MPRD's policy that any outstanding accounts for work carried out by MPRD
are required to be paid in full immediately upon receipt of
the invoice unless by prior arrangement with MPRD. If accounts are not settled, the
website may be suspended.
